• Create Fire
The shifter can create a small amount of fire simply by summoning it into existence.
Cost: One essence point.
Dice Pool: Manipulation + Occult.
Action: Immediate.
Roll Results
Botch: A small fireball erupts and just as quickly extinguishes in the shifter's hands, doing one point of aggravated damage. The shifter cannot attempt this gift again for a number of hours equal to the botch level. Ie. -1 botch, 1 hour, -2 botch, 2 hours, etc. All essence spent is lost.
Failure: No fire is created. All essence spent is lost.
Success: 50 cubic centimetres of fire are created per success, within one meter of the character. This fire has a damage dice pool equal to the number of successes rolled to summon it. The fire will last until extinguished, or until it runs out of fuel.
••• Call Fire Spirit
The shifter may summon a fire spirit to do one task for her. The shifter must have first created the fire for the spirit to inhabit. This must be created through the means Create Fire.
Cost: One essence point.
Dice Pool: Charisma + Occult.
Action: Immediate.
Roll Results
Botch: The spirit will turn on the shifter on arrival and explode, with an attack dice pool equal to the successes achieved on the Create Fire roll. The damage is considered aggravated. All essence spent is lost.
Failure: The shifter fails to summon a spirit. All essence spent is lost.
Success: A fire spirit is mostly limited to attacking, by nature. The spirit will run to the indicated target and explode, with an attack dice pool equal to the successes rolled to summon the fire for Create Fire. While it does not require the summoner's attention once called, the spirit drains one essence point per turn from the caller and remains only so long as the character has essence left, or until it explodes.
•••• Call Fire Elemental
At this level of mastery, the shifter may call upon the full force of a Fire Elemental. The results are much like Call Fire Spirit.
Cost: Two essence points.
Dice Pool: Charisma + Occult.
Action: Immediate.
Roll Results
Botch: The spirit will turn on the shifter on arrival and explode, with an attack dice pool equal to double the successes achieved on the Create Fire roll. The damage is considered aggravated. All essence spent is lost.
Failure: The shifter fails to summon a spirit. All essence spent is lost.
Success: If successful, the fire doubles in size, possessed by a Fire Elemental. As above, the spirit will run to the indicated target and explode, with an attack dice pool equal to double the successes rolled to summon the fire for Create Fire. While it does not require the summoner's attention once called, the spirit drains one essence a turn from the caller and remains only so long as the character has essence left, or until it explodes.
••••• Fire Form
The shifter can transform her body into living flame, with all its inherent strengths and weaknesses.
Cost: Two essence points are spent to activate the gift, plus any additional essence points the shifter spends to extend the duration.
Dice Pool: Stamina + Occult is rolled to activate the gift.
Action: Immediate.
Roll Results
Botch: The shifter suffers twice the level of aggravated damage per level on the botch roll. Ie. -1 botch, 2 damage; -2 botch, 4 damage, etc. All essence spent is lost.
Failure: The shifter fails to turn herself into a body of flame. All essence spent is lost.
Success: The shifter can then transform his body into a being of pure fire that resembles his breed form in shape. This transformation lasts for a number of turns equal to successes rolled and can be held for one turn extra per two essence points spent thereafter.
System
While in this form, the character rolls strength+brawl+2 to attack, doing aggravated damage. Conventional weapons will not harm the character, but water and other non-flammable fluids will do one point of aggravated damage per litre. This damage remains even after the character reverts to their normal form.
